This group was established in 2009, as a sub-group of the COSLA Tackling Poverty Officers Group (TPOG). It is a Scotland-wide network with an
interest in supporting work on rural issues. The specific aims of
the network are:
Membership is open to anyone working in the public and voluntary
sector with an interest in these issues. Work to date has included
assessing Achieving Our Potential from a rural perspective;
producing a paper about measuring deprivation and exclusion in
rural areas (Our Rural Numbers are Not Enough - an independent
position statement); and discussing poverty sensitive decision
