Developing an Employability Service
What is a local employability service?
In a nutshell, an employability service is a range of partners working together to provide support and services which help workless people move into and stay in employment and employers to find the people they need to fill their vacancies. It includes funders of employability services and local projects who engage and provide a range of services for individuals and employers.
Within an employability service, partners align funds, strategies and delivery agencies to improve performance and, by doing so, help those who are distanced from the labour market engage with the world of work and meet the needs of employers
An employability service involves the connection of all the specialist services and employment services in a coherent framework which promotes long-term progression by individuals into and through employment.
