Crossroads in Govanhill

27 July 2010

Glasgow South East Regenaration Agency (GSERA) and Crossroads, a community-based support agency providing an advocacy service to the Roma community in Govanhill, provide an example of where a local service has been adapted to meet the needs of the community.

This case study  describes the challenges of getting a service up and running and keeping it going.  It explains the vibrancy of the ethnically diverse Govanhill community but also the relationships between organisations and the gradual building of trust between them.  There is then a very similar, yet different message of the need to build trust with the people whom they are are trying to reach with the service.
