Learning by Volunteering

Scotland’s Colleges, together with Angus College, Langside College and Adam Smith College completed the Learning by Volunteering project in 2011. The focus of the project was embedding cultures of volunteering in colleges, encouraging learners to engage in volunteering opportunities either in their college or the wider community, and to recognize the skills and personal attributes they gained as a result.

The final project report is available on on the Scotland's Colleges website. There are also a set of case studies on the National Volunteering Award winners. Don't forget to visit the project website which has a range of volunteering advice and resources.
