Health and Employability Delivery Group Remit
Meeting quarterly, the main focus of the HEDG is to support health managers in their engagement with the employability sector and its structures and practices. Additionally, the Group works to strengthen the links between health and employability, raise the profile of employability within the health sector and acts as a communication platform between the other employability delivery structures eg National Delivery Group (NDG) and the Scottish Employability Forum (SEF).
As such the group’s remit is designed to:
- Share and shape practice, including what does and doesn't work.
- Encourage the leads for health & employability to learn from each other, formally and informally, and from other areas. This includes exchanging information, good practice and ideas.
- Identify barriers or constraints for local partnerships eg local or national policy contexts, resourcing etc.
- Focus on agreed core topics relating to this agenda as part of the HEDG.
- Encourage joint implementation/cross area collaboration.
- Build better partnerships across areas and co-design learning for other areas including those outwith Workforce Plus areas.
- Link with other related strategies.
- Feed in relevant information to the NDG and SEF
- Promote and oversee national events which help to disseminate good practice across areas.
