MIS Workshop 1 - Client Management Information Systems

This event was the first in a series of workshops focussing on Client Management Information Systems (CMIS) as part of a programme of support co-ordinated by the Scottish Government for Workforce Plus partnerships.

The focus of this first session was on the planning and development of an effective system, looking particularly at:

  • Functionality - what we want our system to do,
  • Developing the specification - knowing what we need, and
  • Partnership roles and responsibilities

The workshop provided background on the work of the national Workforce Plus MIS sub-group and included inputs from local partners who have led on the development of CMIS models across Scotland.  Participants also had the opportunity to see at first hand one of the MIS systems in operation.
