Offenders

There is a strong correlation between offending, poor literacy, language and numeracy skills, and low achievement and truancy at school. Many offenders have very poor experience of education and no experience of stable employment.

By helping offenders and young people at risk to realise their potential for employment we can reduce crime because the individual who finds and sustains a job is three times less likely to offend than if they are unemployed.
