Dumfries and Galloway's newly established Employability Partnership continues to consolidate actions and develop a focused thematic approach to addressing employability issues in the region. A refreshed action plan for 2015-2018 has been created and has a focus on supporting the recommendations outlined in the Developing Scotland's Young Workforce - Youth Employment Strategy. In September 2015 the Employability Directory was refreshed and transferred wholly online to the newly designed DGTAP website. This also hosts information for employers and schools and can be found here

  • Jenny's Story  -  Jenny suffers from social anxiety and depression, which meant she found it difficult coping - firstly at college and then when she later found a job.  (produced by Dumfries and Galloway supported employment team and SUSE)
  • Ewan's Story - Scotland's southernmost Young Recruit. With the help of funding from the Scottish Government's Youth Employment Scotland Fund, Ewan has been supported into employment with Gallie Craig café through Dumfries and Galloway's Young Recruit programme.
