Local Approaches to Health & Employability

  • Working Towards Health Client Case Studies (2010) - The  Working Towards Health  programme is designed to support individuals who are experiencing a health condition which prevents them from participating in work, education or training. It is open to any individual living in the Dundee City area with a mild to moderate health condition, who are in receipt of a working age benefit.
  • NHS Tayside Healthcare Academy - The NHS Tayside Healthcare Academy is part of a modern, innovative Human Resources and Workforce Development Strategy, which aims to ensure a sustainable quality workforce, which is responsive to local population need. It offers 3 programmes, a 6 week Pre-Employment Programme, Modern Apprenticeships and a 36 week SVQ 2 level Foundation programme.
  • Behind the Trolley Service (2209) originated from the work of Angus Community Health Partnership and Volunteer Centre Angus. Its intention was to undertaken research leading to an evidence based set of recommendations to radically refocus the role of volunteering in Health.
