Third Sector And Social Enterprise Challenge Fund

In September 2012, the Minister for Youth Employment, Angela Constance, announced the Third Sector and Social Enterprise Challenge Fund.

The fund was to help thousands of young Scots into jobs, and follows the allocation of £3 million Scottish Government funding for the third sector.

Twenty-four projects across Scotland received investment from the Third Sector and Social Enterprise Challenge Fund with 1,652 young people given the chance to improve their employability.

The Third Sector and Social Enterprise Challenge Fund formed part of the Scottish Government's £30 million investment in 2012/13 in The Youth Employment Strategy.

In October 2013, Skills Development Scotland published its Evaluation of the project which can be viewed on there website.

Case studies from the some of the organisations that were involved in the fund are now available.
