Developing the Young Workforce

Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) is Scotland's youth employment strategy and through DYW, we aim to reduce youth unemployment levels by 40% by 2021 and this has already been done ahead of schedule

The network of 21 industry led Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) Regional Groups have been established covering the whole of Scotland.

The creation and development of the Groups will ensure that all of Scotland's young people are fully and fairly supported into employment by bridging the gap between education and employers. The groups aim to: encourage and support employers to engage directly with schools and colleges; and challenge and support employers to recruit more young people into their workforce.
