NOMIS is a service provided by the Office for National Statistics to give free access to a range of detailed and up-to-date UK labour market statistics from official sources including the Annual Population Survey, DWP and Jobcentre Plus. It enables information about the number of people claiming key worklessness benefits to be described by, for example, ward, proportion of the working age population they represent, etc. The significance of this lies in its pinpointing of the key concentrations of priority clients and the way that this changes by client profile.
