Local Employability Website
The Opportunities Fife Website, is the website for Fife's employability partnership. It provides information for jobseekers, employers and those working within local employability services.Through working collaboratively and engaging with employers the partnership delivers a cohesive employability service for Fife that helps more people into jobs and develops the skill base for a thriving local economy.

Management Information System
FORT CRMS is a web based system that provides both a client referral and tracking facility and is used by over 400 organisations and services in Fife including housing, drugs support, family support, money advice, etc.

The  Opportunities Fife Strategy 2010-2012 strategy demonstrates the partnership's commitment to tackle unemployment and high levels of dependency on 'workless benefits'. It contributes directly to Fife Economic Strategy's outcome theme 'Extended employment and skills opportunities' and focuses on engaging with those who are further from the job market, improving skill levels and educational attainment and ensuring Fife have a highly skilled, educated and healthy workforce.

The Opportunties Fife Action Plan outlines the priority actions identified to achieve it's target and the eight key outcome themes agreed through the Opportunities Fife Strategy 2010-12.

The  Labour Market Profile profile brings together data from several sources, and includes information on employment/ unemployment, economic inactivity, employment by occupation, qualifications, earnings by residence, out-of-work benefits and jobs (total jobs/ employee jobs).

Skills Development Scotland have prepared local labour market information and intelligence for each of the unitary authorities in Scotland that includes:

SNS Standard Area Profile covers a range of small area statistics including information on health, education, poverty, unemployment, housing, population, crime and social / community issues at the data zone level and above.   • Fife Voluntary Action were pleased to launch the findings from their report Working for Fife: A Survey of Third Sector Employability Services in Fife, at the recent Fife Employability Forum (November 2013).

  • Surviving poverty: the impact of lone parenthood (January 2013) A  report published by the Poverty Alliance explores lone parents' quality of life within rural communities in Fife, focusing on their experiences of poverty and the barriers to achieving an effective quality of life within the current economic climate.
