Are you a young person (S1 - S6) in Lanarkshire interested in a career in medicine?

Join us for our Medical Careers Event; NextGen Medicine: Opportunities & Pathways. A drop-in event for school pupils and their parents/guardians who would like to learn more about the wide range of opportunities available within the medical profession. Meet and hear from medical professionals representing a variety of specialties, gain valuable insight into their career journeys, discover what it takes to work in medicine, and have the opportunity to ask questions. Whether you're already considering a career in healthcare or simply curious to find out more, this is a fantastic opportunity to explore the diverse and rewarding world of medicine.

As part of the event, pupils will also have the chance to take part in interactive simulation activities, providing a hands-on experience of some of the tasks and skills used by medical professionals every day. From plastering a limb to perfecting a suture these sessions will give attendees a real taste of what working in medicine is like.
